- What are the items that you don’t move? Federal law prohibits certain items from being shipped, such as flammable liquids. Knowing what you need to donate or leave behind can give you a better idea to plan for the big moving day. Additionally, certain high-value items might be more suited for a different shipping service.
- What are the restrictions on boxes I use? If you plan to do some of your own packing, learn what supplies are available (and not) to use for packing your materials.
- Can you guarantee my delivery date? Work with your moving company on finding the optimal date range for delivering your items. This might vary depending on whether you have a local move, storage needs (for example while you wait on one property to close and another to open), or a long-distance move.
