A great way to spend 2 to 3 hours with the family, especially if you make it to one of the many special themed event weekends.
2 – Toy & Miniature Museum
With 38 rooms of toys, no family can miss the Toy & Miniature Museum! With hundreds of toys from all cultures and decades in history there is plenty to see. From wooden soldiers to technological toys of the modern, digital age, both kids and parents will enjoy reliving their childhood. With various events and educational programming on throughout the year, there is plenty to keep entertained and talking about on the way home!
3 – KC Watersports
A great place to get outside and have an adventure! For kids and older families aged 10 years and upwards, KC Watersports and their 7.5 acre lake will keep the family entertained and the competition started. Learn to wakeboard or wakeskate and try your luck at various obstacles in the water – just try not to fall in!
4 – Missouri Town 1885
Enjoy a real life history lesson at Missouri Town 1885. Go back in time and learn about the 1850’s. Walk amongst the traditionally dressed inhabitants, meet the animals and explore their shops and surroundings. Could you survive living in the 1850’s? Just how different is to how you live now? A fantastic day out for the family.
5 – Chip’s Chocolate Factory
Every member of the family will enjoy Chip’s Chocolate Factory. Watch how the creamy fudge is made in the factory tour to discover how 26 flavours of fudge are made daily in the factory. With over 200 Swiss Chocolate products also made daily in the factory, the shop is where you will spend most of your time. Once you have tried all 26 flavours of fudge, look out for gourmet gifts, liquorice, truffles, cotton candy and more. Lunch definitely not needed before you visit Chip’s Chocolate Factory.
