If you’ve recently made the big move to Fort Lauderdale, you may be wondering what there is to do around town. Look no further. After we’ve taken care of all the hard moving work for you, relax with friends or family and enjoy some of these Fort Lauderdale festivities.
Check out a Florida Panthers game. Even if we deny it, we all like to see a fight break out at a hockey game every now and then! Hockey makes for an exciting spectator sport. Head over to the BB&T Center and watch the Panthers tear up the ice.
Take the fam to the Museum of Science and Discovery. The kids will love this cool interactive museum. Explore the Everglades of the “Runways to Rockets” exhibit, which features aircraft and rockets. And of course, the entire family will dig the IMAX theater, so be sure to grab some tickets.
Navigate the Intracoastal Waterway. They don’t call Fort Lauderdale the “Venice of America” for nothing. Take the family or a date on a water taxi and see the beautiful homes and restaurants along the waterways.
Get nostalgic at the Antique Car Museum. If you or anyone in your family appreciates the finer points of automobiles, the Antique Car Museum is a must-see. The showroom features Packards from the 1900s to the 1940s, and gives some interesting history along the way.
