Habitat for Humanity

As an agent for North American Van Lines and one of the top moving and storage companies in the country, we work together with Habitat Humanity and their Homebuilder’s Blitz program and ReStore resale store program that helps fund the building of homes in as little as 5 days. Beginning in 2002, this program has built over 1,000 homes for those who could not otherwise realize the American Dream of homeownership.

The Go North Habitat for Humanity ReStore Program

As one of the most respected moving and storage companies in the U.S., Beltmann is a dedicated to supporting Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore program by helping them to keep the ReStore resale stores’ shelves fully stocked. We encourage those who choose us over the many other moving companies to donate their unwanted and used items to the program. When you donate:

• You will be helping the less fortunate in your local community.
• You can claim the donations on your taxes.
• You can cut the cost of your move by reducing the weight of your shipment.

As one of the top moving companies in the area, we make it easier for you to donate to the cause:

• Talk to your moving consultant about your desire to donate
• Fill out the Go North Habitat Donation Inventory Form and give it to the driver
• From here we’ll take care of picking up your donations and deliver them to Habitat for Humanity, who will send you a receipt for your donation for tax purposes within 90 days

Gary Sinise Foundation

Following the tragic loss of the twin towers on the 11th of September 2001, famous actor Gary Sinise (from the movie Forrest Gump) founded the Gary Sinise Foundation to honor first responders, vets, and their families by providing them with a range of opportunities.

The main goal of the foundation is to build automated houses for severely wounded vets. Each house is built to meet the particular veterans’ needs. In 2013, the foundation started the R.I.S.E. or Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment program to further expand the efforts of the foundation. Beltmann is one of the only moving and storage companies who provide free moving services to those veterans who are moving into their new homes.

Move for Hunger

Move for Hunger works together with moving and storage companies like Beltmann to deliver non-perishable foods to food pantries across the country. These pantries then distribute these foods to help the 17 million-plus children who go to bed every night with empty bellies. To help with this, we ask our customers to donate their leftover non-perishables to the cause rather than paying to ship them to their new home.

As proof of our dedication, we were awarded the, “Move For Hunger- North American Van Line Mover of the Year” in 2012. When the time comes for your next move, be sure to join the fight by donating your non-perishable foods. We will pick them up and deliver where they are needed.
