Kansas City Living: Events You Can’t Miss This February

So, you have all your things in place after trusting a Kansas City mover. If you have arrived in town in February, there are lots of things to do to get you out of the house!

Paradise Park Family Fun & Adventure has a Children’s Edutainment Center which will hold a week-long celebration of Valentine’s Day. Have some fun with the kids as they bake Valentine heart cookies in the interactive kitchen, and create Valentine cards and flowers in the art studio. February 11-14, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.

The Roasterie Cafe gives free tours Monday through Friday at 10:00 am. Learn about their efforts to bring you the best cup of coffee in the world. See the roasting and blending process, find out how coffee is decaffeinated, and see what a coffee cherry looks like.

Another free tour is of the Boulevard Brewing Co. Make reservations for this 45-minute tour of the brewing process. Learn about the history of the Boulevard Brewing Company and watch a video about how beer is made. After your walk through the brewery you will be able to sample a variety of Boulevard beers.

The Johnson County Museum of History has a Kidscape that is free to enter. Entertain your children on a winter’s afternoon with crafts like building snowmen that won’t melt using paint sticks, felt, and buttons.

Participate in the Englewood Art Walk on the third Friday of the month (February 20). Galleries in the Englewood Shopping District and on Winner and Sterling Roads will be open to all. You will be able to view artists at work, enjoy live music and refreshments, and view locally produced prints, photography, oils, sculpture, jewelry, mixed media, and more. Admission is free from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Once your Kansas City mover has completed their work, you can take time to schedule some outings for yourself or the whole family. Enjoy these opportunities during the month of February!
