Kansas City Events You Can’t Miss This June

Your Kansas City mover is gone, and you are finally in your new home. It’s time to head out into the city to see what is happening in the month of June. Here are some suggestions:

16th Annual Breakfast on the Trails
The Bingham-Waggoner Estate welcomes you to breakfast around a chuck wagon, just like the early pioneers would have done. Families who used to live in the grand home sat on the porch and watched the wagon trains go by on the Santa Fe Trail. Tour the home for $1 off admission, and visit the gift shop. There will be an Old Fashioned Bake Sale where you will surely come away with an armload of goodies. Saturday, June 2, from 7am-10am.

Children’s Day & National Trails Day at Missouri Town 1855
June 4, head over to Lee’s Summit, MO for this event put on by the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department. You’ll find a day of games and activities that will introduce children to another time in our American history. They will play games from the old days such as tug-of-war, marbles, and gunny sack races.

Crown Center Antique Festival

This is the 12th year of a free festival featuring pottery, china, toys, linens, collectibles, furniture, jewelry, books and much more. More than 100 dealers will be present to shop from. You might just find that perfect treasure for your new home. June 9 through 10.

Fiesta Kansas City
This is an annual celebration presented by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce right in the heart of Kansas City. The Fiesta features food, beverages, entertainment, and many vendors. There are two stages that will be filled with musicians and entertainers over the three day period, so you can celebrate and party rain or shine. June 22 through June 24.

After your Kansas City mover has done a great job getting you settled into your new home, get out of the house this June for some of these great festivities.
