Fun Activities for the Whole Family in Kansas City

As a parent, moving is incredibly stressful. However, it’s also very stressful on your children, especially with regards to social activities. Luckily, if you are planning a move to Kansas City this summer, there are a wealth of things to do and see that will keep your kids from feeling too “down in the dumps” about your move. Here is a quick list of things to do once your Kansas City mover has dropped you off and you’ve gotten settled in.

A. Love the Water?

Check out the 28th Annual Waterfest in Excelsior Springs, June 28-30. There are a host of games and activities for children, plus live music, a singing competition, and a dog show.

B. Good Old Fun

The Wyandotte County Fair, July 23-27, is the perfect place to take the whole family. Complete with a carnival, a demolition derby, motocross, a petting zoo, camel and pony rides, and hot air balloon trips, this county fair has it all.

C. Get a Little Culture

The Ethnic Enrichment Festival, August 16-18, brings together a wide range of people to share cultural traditions and excellent food. Swope Park becomes a multicultural village for three days in August, and there is a dizzying array of music, food, and fun on display.
