As the years pass and children are added to your family, you\u2019ll be surprised at the amount of toys you\u2019ve collected. While it\u2019s tempting to want to leave your children\u2019s toys in the dumpster, here are some easy tips to help you pack up those mountains of toys that are floating around in your home before your relocation to Fort Lauderdale<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sort and Eliminate<\/b><\/p>\n

Relocating is a great time to go through anything in your home and purge the things that you haven\u2019t used in a long time. This is especially true for your children\u2019s toys. If the baby toys are gathering dust in the corner and your preschooler has moved on to bigger and better things, you don\u2019t want to waste your time or money moving these old toys into your new home. If your child is old enough to understand and help sort out toys that they would like to donate to Goodwill<\/a>, sell or throw them away. This is a great way to show your children to be generous while lightening the load of more stuff that needs to be packed for your move.<\/p>\n

Packing<\/b><\/p>\n

If you have any of the original packaging to your children\u2019s toys, try to use that to pack your toys. These packages are designed to protect your toys during shipment. If you don\u2019t have your original packaging, small boxes with lids are readily available at most stores. As you begin to pack, make sure toys are deconstructed while keeping pieces together. Puzzles, blocks, and anything with lots of small pieces should be labeled so if you find more pieces later on, you can add them to the right box.<\/p>\n
