Easy Ways to Create Great Curb Appeal in the Fall

BeltmannBlogSince the spring and summer months are typically the busiest real estate times, the fall and winter can be a more competitive time to sell a home. For those looking to sell a home in this season, any little improvements can help. Here’s a few tips on small changes during the fall that can go a long way in selling your home and getting on to your move.

Whip those leaves into shape for maximum curb appeal. A few leaves on the ground make a yard look nice and homey, but too many can make your home appear disheveled or sloppy. And let’s face it, if you’re getting a home ready to sell you probably don’t have loads of extra time to be raking leaves. Leaf blowers are pretty cheap when you look at how many hours you save yourself. Or check with your local lawn care businesses. Even hiring a few lawn care workers for an hour or two can make a huge dent in those leaves.

Clean the gutters. Even if you know you’ll be moving soon, cleaning the gutters is the right way to go. After all, someone has to do it, so you might as well get it done before you start showing your house a bunch.

Touch up the painting. A little bit of paint can go a really long way. Try touching up the paint on the house numbers, or even repainting the front door. A nice color that matches the color of your house or even the fall colors can make the front door really pop.
