Long distance moving can be a stressful undertaking, even if you’ve done it before. Beltmann Relocation Group can help oversee all aspects of a long distance, interstate, or international move, which means that you can worry less. We completely customize each client's relocation, so we can cater to your specific needs and budget.
We provide you with highly trained, experienced movers who will ensure that your belongings are treated with care and respect as they travel from state to state. Our planning representatives are experts in their area and can help walk you through the process of moving a home, business, or corporation.
Moving from one state to another can be a huge undertaking that requires a lot of planning. How much planning? If you’re moving state-to-state, or from one side of your state to another, it’s best to start planning about eight weeks in advance. If you’re moving internationally, you’ll want to give yourself an even longer planning period. A successful long distance move is predicated on timing.
Think about what level of service you need. For example, if you would like us to pack your home or just your bulky items, we’ll need to know during the planning period. Decide whether or not your moving dates are flexible. Make sure you have your old and new zip codes on hand. These will help your consultant develop a reliable timeline for your transition.
If you're packing up and moving to a new state, make sure that you have access to things that you’ll need during the move. This means packing a moving bag for yourself and your family. Be sure to include enough clothes for the entire move, rain or cold weather gear, daily toiletries, and anything needed for work or school attendance.
Don’t forget to set aside important documents, like birth certificates, receipts, or work orders. You’ll want to have insurance cards and medical information in case of an emergency, as well. Consider whether you can bring your pets with you in the transition or whether you’ll need to ship them separately.
